E&O Loss Prevention and Agency Management Practices - 4 Hours CE Credits
Additional Fee - $99.00
Thursday, March 25 8:00 a.m. - Noon
Instructor: Ted Kinney, Alabama Independent Insurance Agents, Birmingham, AL
E&O Loss Prevention provides agencies with an in-depth look at the methods of controlling the liability exposure of an independent agency from the point of view of errors and omissions. E&O and Ethics material are interconnected. To understand one, you need to understand the other. Just because something is legal does not mean it is ethical, and the reverse is also true. Just because an action is ethical does not mean it’s legal. Proper insurance business practice requires that professionals maintain their integrity in dealing with clients. This means they must understand the E&O ramifications of their actions and how this matches their ethical conduct. Specific areas of focus in this session include:
- Current litigation environment
- The importance of taking a risk management approach to E&O loss prevention
- Legal and ethical dilemmas explored in a series of case studies designed to identify potential problems
Participants registering for the E&O Loss Prevention and Agency Management Practices course will earn four (4) hours of CE credit. The National Alliance for Insurance and Education Research will handle filing for CE credits. (Participants will be expected to cover any state filing fees.) |
